About The Artist

Fatima Bin Safwan, known as FAFA is an Emirati/Honduran artist known for her powerful voice and warm timbre. Her lyrics revolve around mental health and insecurity, meanwhile using her craft as a catalyst to heal the wounds of her past.
Growing up she performed background vocals for Bobby McFerrin as well-performing West End productions of Annie and the Sound of Music. Her singing style is unique, gathering inspiration from artists such as Etta James, Whitney Houston, and Amy Winehouse. In 2019, she released three singles and performed as the opening act for Bruno Mars for an audience of 15,000. With 2020 shutting down all live entertainment, there was no slowing down for the Emirati songstress as she worked with brands such as Sennheiser, FLASH Entertainment, and COSMO Middle East. In 2021, FAFA worked with Sony Music MENA and Riot Games to feature alongside rising Egyptian rapper Marwan Moussa and Moroccan trap artist ISSAM on “ANTA AL BATAL” the Middle Eastern release song for VALORANT, which racked up 2.8M views in 2021.
Her most recent track “Tree of Flames” made 3M impressions online. FAFA served an instrumental role at the Department of Culture and Tourism in acquiring funding to increase and attract work for homegrown artists as well as develop the music scene for a post COVID era in the UAE. The singer continues to work for the betterment of artists in her home countries as well as release music to inspire those who find solace in her sound. Currently, FAFA is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Creative Media and Technology; Songwriting and Production, at Berklee College of Music in New York. She is the first Emirati-Honduran to obtain this degree and continues to be a trailblazer in hopes to inspire others to achieve their dreams.
